The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS) exists to promote and develop Scottish Country Dancing worldwide for the benefit of present and future generations. The Society publishes dance books and music, produces CDs, compiles dance reference works, examines teachers, organizes workshops, awards scholarships, and much more. Ardbrae has been an affiliate of the RSCDS since 1964.
Scottish Country Dancing is an international activity with branches and affiliates all over the world. Some of the nearest dance groups are in Kingston, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Standardized instruction allows Scottish Country Dancers to enjoy social events and participate in classes wherever they travel.
